BIOGRAPHY

André Figueroa Garza. Mexican born, February 15, 2001.

Figueroa directed his first short film, Todavía No Puedo Dormir (2018), an avant-garde/neo-noir/experimental/silent drama that caught the attention of many famous film directors and actors. Elena! (2019) and Sándalo (2019) were shot on film romantic dramas, their troubled productions gave him the confidence to move onto bigger projects. Figueroa's growing ambition forced him to leave home and move to Mexico City in 2019 where he became a painter, photographer, creative director, writer, actor, and singer-songwriter. During this time he wrote his cinematic saga, LYRAE.

In 2023, his would be independent first feature film, GENESNAS and WICCA MACBETH, his adaptation of The Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare, was canceled mid-pre-production due to the lack of financial aid.

Figueroa also worked as a music video director.

Poetry and writing were just a hobby for Figueroa, but they became equally important to him as filmmaking, and eventually he wrote his first poetry book, CANTOS DESDE URSA. From that point, Figueroa focused his energy and creative powers on the making of his fantasy novel, SERPENS, which will release on September 1st.
